Postpartum Support
Bringing baby home comes with great joy, and new adjustments. Welcoming a postpartum doula into your home the first few weeks after birth helps families adjust to life with baby. As a postpartum doula, I am a newborn care expert. I guide parents as they gain confidence in caring for baby, through hands on experience, and focus on your infant's eating and sleeping.

Our time together begins through a prenatal meeting, in which I help families prepare for birth, and look towards bringing baby home. I then visit families within 1-3 days of brining baby home from the hospital. During our visits, we focus on newborn care, learning about your newborn (cues, patterns, understanding their development, first bath, baby wearing), lactation and feeding (positioning, rhythms, frequency), postpartum care for mama (physical recovery—vaginal/csection/nipple/mental/emotional), and connecting with the partner to ensure they are finding their role and feel supported during this time of great transition. I also work through questions with parents that arise in the days between visits (in addition to texting), and help to develop game plans for getting through the early days and nights. Often, I help to set up feeding spaces for mama and baby, and resting places for baby in the home. Sibling care is an important piece of helping a family adjust to having a new baby, and is an area of my focus when needed.

I am available to visit families in the hospital for additional support.

My goal is to empower and support parents, giving the tools needed to care for baby. I also focus on the emotional and mental health of parents as they journey through the postpartum period.

Lactation and Sleep
The early days following birth and bringing baby home are about rhythms, care, feeding, and sleeping--for both the babies and parents. Together, we will work to learn the rhythms of your baby, create a flow through the day and night, and ensure both nourishment and sleep.
